HOME AT LAST

After a three week and covering 5,000 miles, here we are back in Los Angeles.

We really missed using the coach for this trip, for our car was "loaded" with
all kinds of goodies.  It was tough finding room for our wine.
Jim does a great job in packing, that he didn't think he would get everything in.
He hasn't failed me yet !

After unpacking, the first item on our agenda was to get our Samantha at the Kennels.
It was so good to see her again.  We think she missed us as much as we missed her.

Once we were settled, there was one important matter we hadn't
thought about in the past three weeks........

We lost our engine in the coach and now Jim had to consider
what's involved in rebuilding it.

No, you're reading this correctly,  one of Jim's many talents is
his mechancial abilities.   So about two weeks later...
This is what took place !

We're fortunate, that we're able to keep our coach at home.
The work can be done here... in his spare time !

(After work every night, and every weekend for a month)

People asked,
"How do you get the motor out of the coach?"

Simple....
Since we're fortunate to have a passenger side door,
you remove the passenger seat, and then
the engine through the door.

Once Jim removed the engine,
he showed us the cause for its failure.

"Wow, did this piston EXPLODE"
We weren't kidding when we said
Jim worked every night after work......
A few weeks later and
some performance improvements.....

The new engine is ready to go back
into the coach

(This was when Sally's help was neded)

According to Jim, once we get the
engine in, the rest is easy....

Now that we have our coach running again
it's time to think about next year's big journey.
